About the Dragon: With the trees, the leaves, the flowers, and the stars, Leif’s design is intended to represent change from the ground up and through every season. He wears a kind smile with sparkling eyes to welcome every critter big and small. Leif is heavily inspired by Norse mythology, constellations, and earth, reflecting my love for the nature trails and amazing natural spaces that DeForest has to offer.

About the Artist:
Throughout my life I have enjoyed my craft, all the way from crayon drawings to detailed portraits and fiber arts. I’m lucky to have always been surrounded by people who encourage me to get creative, and support me through my artistic processes.
I have indulged in different artistic opportunities in the past such as doing seasonal craft fairs selling crochet goods and doing personalized watercolor commissions.
I love giving new art forms a try, so when I was presented the opportunity to paint a dragon for the village, I was ecstatic.
I am incredibly honored to have been part of this art campaign, and to have my creation on display for many to see!
