The Village is currently working on its 5-year update of the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan. The purpose of the Plan is to identify and prioritize the Village's existing facilities, assets and area of needed improvement, in addition to future park and recreation needs. The document also contains topic-specific goals, objectives, policies and recommendations, as well as a community-wide vision and action plan to help prioritize future implantation projects. By completing the i plan every 5 years. DeForest retains eligibility through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to apply for matching state and federal grants.
