Every 5 years the Village of DeForest completes an updated Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan or sometimes also referred to as the Parks and Open Space Plan. This plan is prepared to help guide the Village of DeForest in obtaining, developing and maintaining public parks and outdoor recreation facilities, through public and professional input. It also serves as a tool to encourage participation in grant programs through the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and other agencies.
Final Draft
We are excited to announce the release of the final draft of the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan for the Village of DeForest. This plan is the result of months of dedicated work, thoughtful input, and collaboration with our residents. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who participated in surveys, attended meetings, and shared their valuable feedback. Your voices have helped shape the future of our parks and recreation offerings, ensuring they reflect the needs and aspirations of our community. Public participation and community engagement are at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to continuing this important work together.
