Alternate side parking plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth traffic flow and efficient snow removal during the winter months. Having one side of the street clear allows snowplows and street maintenance crews to effectively clear accumulated snow and ice, minimizing disruptions to daily life. Additionally, it aids emergency services by maintaining accessible roads and reduces the risk of accidents caused by narrowed or obstructed streets. Complying with alternate side parking regulations is a civic responsibility that helps our community navigate the challenges of winter weather, by promoting safety, accessibility, and the overall well-being of our residents.
Alternate Side Parking Rules
The alternate side parking ordinance is in effect from 12 midnight through 6 a.m. from November 15th to April 1st. The ordinance is constantly in effect during this time regardless of weather conditions.
